Allegan County, MI (May 16, 2023) – Two women suffered fatal injuries following a truck accident that took place on Thursday morning.
At around 9:05 a.m. on May 11, the Allegan County Sheriff’s Department and firefighters responded to the site of a crash that occurred on Blue Star Highway.
Reports show that a 70-year-old woman was driving a Buick SUV eastbound on North Street. As her vehicle proceeded through the intersection of Blue Star Highway, her vehicle collided with the dump truck.
The woman and her passenger, a 67-year-old woman, were both pronounced dead at the scene due to the injuries.
A 75-year-old person involved in the crash suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The victim was transported to an area hospital.
The driver of the dump truck, a 26-year-old man, was not injured in the crash.
At this time, the Allegan County Sheriff’s Department’s Crash Reconstruction Team is investigating the incident.
