Attleborough, MA – Big Rig Crash on I-295 near I-95 Takes One Life

Attleborough, MA (August 31, 2023) – One person has died as a result of the truck crash that took place on Wednesday morning in the Attleborough area, according to the Massachusetts State Police.

At around 6:30 a.m. on August 30, the police were called to the scene of a crash on Interstate 295.

Official reports indicate that a car and a Market Basket tractor-trailer collided on the northbound side of the interstate. The crash caused disruptions in traffic just before the Interstate 95 interchange.

The police and firefighters responded to the scene and located the damaged vehicles. The driver of the car was fatally injured and pronounced dead at the scene.

The truck driver, a 44-year-old man, was not injured.

The crash is being investigated.
