Auburndale, FL (November 27, 2023) – A young child lost her life as a result of a truck crash that occurred in the Auburndale area on Saturday evening. At around 10:00 p.m. on November 25, emergency crews were requested on-site at a collision that occurred on US Highway 92, Magnolia Avenue.
According to law enforcement reports from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, a truck with the Auburndale Police Department was involved in a collision with a blue 2016 Kia sedan on US Highway 92 at the intersection of Havendale Boulevard.
A woman involved in the crash was transported to a local hospital for the treatment of injuries. A 5-year-old girl was severely hurt in the crash. She was rushed to an area hospital, where she died from her injuries. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
