Ault Township, MO (September 28, 2023) – A truck accident reported on Wednesday in rural St. Louis County sent one person to a local hospital with injuries.
The accident occurred on September 27, just before noon.
Reports provided by officials show that a logging truck collided with a CN train in the area near 1821 Brimson Road in Ault Township.
The impact of the crash caused logs to spill out of the truck and land all over the roadway.
The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the driver of the truck, a 57-year-old, was injured in the crash. The victim was transported by ambulance to a hospital for emergency care.
The accident is currently being investigated.
We hope the injured victim is able to recover quickly.
Truck crashes often have devastating consequences for those involved. Unfortunately, we see commercial vehicle accidents take place here in Missouri quite often. Accidents of this nature often result in severe injuries for victims. Victims often have to go through extensive medical care and spend weeks out of work to recover.
The time after an accident can be especially difficult to deal with. Regrettably, the impact of physical injuries is often compounded by the financial burdens that crash victims endure.
After being hurt in a truck accident, victims have the ability to pursue personal injury claims against those who are responsible. Due to the very nature of truck accidents, there are multiple parties who can be held liable for any resulting injuries or damages.
One of the most obvious parties identified in personal injury claims following truck accidents is the driver of the vehicle. When truck drivers speed, drive impaired, or are otherwise negligent while behind the wheel, and cause accidents, they should be held liable for any resulting damages.
We also see a significant number of truck accidents take place as a result of cargo loading companies who are not careful and considerate while loading cargo onto the back of trailers. As a result, the cargo shifts and causes a rollover accident that ends and devastation.
After being involved in a truck accident, a thorough investigation is needed to identify who is liable for your pain and suffering. Working with a truck accident lawyer can provide you with the best chance of holding the negligent parties accountable.
