Bartlett, IL – Fatal Injuries Reported in Truck Wreck on Route 25 near Kenyon Rd

Bartlett, IL (September 2, 2023) – A truck accident took place in the Bartlett area that resulted in fatal injuries. The accident was reported on August 31 at around 7:00 a.m.

According to reports provided by the Bartlett Police Department, a 2002 Honda Civic was traveling on Route 25 when he became involved in a collision with a dump truck near Kenya on the road.

The impact of the crash caused the dump truck to overturn and block several lanes of travel.

Two people in the Honda, identified as students from the South Elgin High School, were severely injured. One victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The second victim was transported to a local hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.

The driver of the Honda and an additional passenger, as well as the dump truck driver, were all transported to area hospitals for emergency treatment.

The crash is currently being investigated.
