Big Bend, WI (July 30, 2023) – A fatal truck accident was reported in Rusk County on Friday afternoon, July 28.
At around 3:00 p.m., emergency officials were dispatched to the scene of a crash that occurred on South Hutchinson Road.
Reports from the Rusk County Sheriff’s Deputies show that a semi-truck and a pickup truck collided on the roadway near Wisconsin State Highway 40. The incident caused disruptions throughout the area as emergency crews closed down the road.
Upon arriving at the scene, the driver of the pickup truck was located with fatal injuries. The victim was immediately pronounced deceased by responding officers.
The driver of the semi-truck was injured and had to be treated at the scene.
At this time, the Rusk County Sheriff’s Deputies are investigating the crash.
