Botetourt Co., VA (December 17, 2023) – The Virginia State Police confirmed that a 24-year-old woman from Clifton Forge, Virginia, lost her life as a result of a fatal truck accident on Friday afternoon in Botetourt County. The accident was reported to the state police and firefighters at approximately 1:50 p.m. on December 15.
State police reports indicate that a 2007 Dodge Caliber was traveling on Route 220. As the vehicle proceeded northbound on the roadway, it collided with a 2011 Kenworth tractor-trailer. The driver of the Dodge was fatally injured in the accident. She was pronounced deceased by authorities while still at the scene. At this time, the incident is being investigated by the state police.
