Brooklyn, NY (October 26, 2023) – A young child was fatally struck by a New York Police Department tow truck on Thursday morning, October 26.

Reports provided by the New York Police Department show that a tow truck was traveling in the area of Myrtle Avenue in North Portland Avenue during the morning hours. At around 7:50 a.m., a seven-year-old boy was riding a scooter with his mother on the way to school when he was struck by a tow truck.
