Cass Co., IA (December 18, 2023) – The Iowa State Patrol confirmed that a 29-year-old man from South Richmond Hill, New York, lost his life as a result of a truck accident that occurred in Cass County on Saturday afternoon, December 16. The crash was reported to officials at around 3:55 p.m.
According to Iowa State Patrol reports, a 2022 Volvo semi was traveling westbound on Interstate 80 when it became involved in a collision near mile marker 72. As a result of the crash, the semi rolled onto its side and collided with the ditch. The semi-driver sustained fatal injuries as a result of the crash. He was pronounced deceased by authorities. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
