Cedar County, IA – One Killed in Semi-Truck Crash on Highway 30

Cedar County, IA (May 15, 2023) – A truck accident took place just outside of Lisbon on Friday afternoon that claimed one person’s life.

At approximately 1:45 p.m. on May 12, emergency officials were called to the scene of a crash on Highway 30.

Reports show that a semi-truck and a train collided on the highway just east of the city during the afternoon hours. The incident prompted the police to shut down the roadway as they worked to clear the area.

One person involved in the accident, identified as a 47-year-old man from Cedar Rapids, suffered fatal injuries. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

At this time, the incident is being investigated.
