Chicago, IL (October 25, 2023) – A bus accident reported near the west side of Chicago left multiple people injured.
The accident was reported to the Chicago Police Department at around 12:30 p.m. on Monday, October 23.
According to reports provided by the police, a bus and a second vehicle were involved in a collision on Ashland Avenue near the intersection of Monroe Street. Reports show that a vehicle swerved into the bus’s lane. The bus swerved in an attempt to avoid the collision before striking a light pole.
The 36-year-old female driving the bus sustained injuries and was transported to Stroger Hospital.
Seven passengers also suffered injuries. The victims were transported to local hospitals for treatment.
The incident is being investigated at this time.
