Chouteau, OK (December 12, 2023) – A 17-year-old boy lost his life as a result of a truck accident that occurred on Sunday evening in the town of Chouteau. At around 11:10 p.m. on December 10, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol was notified that they were needed at the scene of a crash on US Highway 412.
Preliminary investigations show that a 17-year-old boy was riding a horse-drawn buggy on the highway when their vehicle collided with a semi-truck tractor-trailer near 428 Road. The impact of the crash caused the teen to be ejected from the vehicle. The teen was severely hurt as a result of the crash. The victim was subsequently pronounced deceased. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
