Dealing with the overwhelming impact of a fatal collision can be overwhelming. Unfortunately, fatal truck crashes take the lives of thousands of people in our nation every year. Far too often, these crashes are a result of driver negligence. We see many fatal truck crashes take place as a result of speeding drivers, drivers who fail to yield, and drivers who engage in other reckless actions.
In addition to negligent truck drivers, we often see several other parties contribute to these fatal collisions. In some cases, trucking companies engage in negligent actions while hiring drivers, knowing that they are unqualified to operate their vehicles. They also engage in negligent supervision, leaving truck drivers to go over their allotted hours and engage in reckless actions. Other common factors in fatal collisions include negligent loading, inadequate maintenance, and even defective roadways.
