Commerce City, CO (December 17, 2023) – One person has died as a result of a fatal truck accident reported on Friday afternoon in Commerce City. On December 15, officers with the Commerce City Police Department were notified of a crash that occurred at approximately 2:00 p.m.
Law enforcement reports indicate that a man riding a motorcycle was involved in a collision with a semi-truck tractor-trailer in the 9700 block of 96th Avenue, just west of Highway 2. Authorities responded to the scene and shut down the roadway between Heinz Way and Valley Street as they provided assistance with the removal of the involved vehicles. The motorcyclist was fatally injured and pronounced deceased following the crash. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
