Dallas Center, IA – Man Loses Life in Rear-End Concrete Truck Crash on Highway 44

Dallas Center, IA (May 23, 2023) – A 69-year-old man lost his life in a truck accident that occurred in Dallas Center on Monday, May 22.

At around 9:45 a.m., the Utah Highway Patrol responded to the scene of an accident that occurred on Highway 44.

Reports from authorities show that a 65-year-old man was slowing his vehicle in the 28,000 block of Highway 44 as a result of traffic when his vehicle was crashed into from behind by a concrete truck.

The driver of the front vehicle was fatally injured. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. His passenger, a 65-year-old woman, was rushed to an area hospital for treatment.

The driver of the concrete truck, a 32-year-old man, was not injured.

The crash is being investigated.
