De Soto, IA (October 17, 2023) – One person has lost their life as a result of a deadly truck accident that occurred in De Soto on Monday morning, October 16.
The Iowa State Patrol was called to the crash at approximately 1:30 a.m.
According to reports, a collision involving a semi-truck took place on Interstate 80. As a result of the crash, a semi-truck collided with the barrier before rolling onto its side. The incident caused the gas tank on the truck to break, resulting in the vehicle bursting into flames.
One person was killed in the accident. No other injuries were reported.
At this time, the Iowa State Patrol is investigating.
