Deerfield Beach, FL – Fatal Truck Crash at Powerline Rd & SW 10th St

Deerfield Beach, FL (December 11, 2023) – A fatal truck accident was reported in the Deerfield Beach area over the weekend that claimed one person’s life. On December 10, the Florida Highway Patrol and firefighters out of Broward County were called to the scene of an automobile accident that took place in front of the Deerfield Storage facility.

According to official reports, a Wawa semi-truck and multiple vehicles collided on Southwest 10th Street in the area of Powerline Road in Deerfield Beach. The incident caused the semi-truck to jackknife, blocking multiple lanes of the road. Authorities rushed to the scene to provide assistance.

The driver of the semi-truck was transported to an area hospital for emergency medical care. The driver of one of the involved vehicles sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. At this time, the Florida Highway Patrol troopers are investigating the accident.
