Fatal Truck Accidents in New Hampshire

Truck crashes can be incredibly devastating. Each year, these accidents take the lives of thousands of people across the United States. After losing a loved one in a fatal truck crash, your family has the opportunity to file a wrongful death claim against the responsible party. When it comes to truck accidents, there are several factors that can contribute to them taking place.

Truck drivers and trucking companies should bear responsibility for deaths and damages resulting from their negligence. However, establishing fault in the case of a truck accident can be quite challenging. Various parties that may be deemed liable in a truck collision include:

  • Trucking Company: The trucking company may be held responsible for the negligent actions of their truck driver. This includes situations where they hired an inexperienced driver or failed to conduct routine truck inspections.
  • Truck Manufacturer: If a truck’s components were initially defective, the manufacturer could be held responsible.
  • Truck Driver: If a truck driver’s distracted driving leads to an accident, they would be the one accountable for the damages.
  • Loading Companies: If the company that is in charge of loading the cargo overloaded the truck or improperly loaded it, they would be liable for the accident.
  • Mechanics: In some instances, mechanics working with the company may be held accountable for critical mechanical errors that lead to accidents.
