Truck accidents in the United States cause thousands of injuries each year, leaving victims hospitalized for several days while requiring them to go through months of therapy and rehabilitation. Negligent behavior plays a significant role in these incidents, with driver errors such as speeding and distractions being common causes. Inadequate maintenance of trucks also leads to a significant number of accidents, including brake failures and tire blowouts.
Given the significant size and weight of trucks, which can be upwards of 80,000 lbs while fully loaded, the injuries resulting from these accidents tend to be severe and life-altering. Victims often suffer from spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, and other debilitating conditions, necessitating immediate and long-term medical care.
