Elk Grove Village, IL – Man Loses Life in Truck Wreck on Devon Ave near Nicholas Blvd

Elk Grove Village, IL (August 26, 2023) – A man has lost his life as a result of an automobile accident that occurred on Friday evening in Elk Grove Village.

At around 9:00 p.m. on August 25, the police and firefighters were called to a crash that occurred on Devon Avenue.

According to officials, a semi-truck and a pickup truck collided on Devon Avenue near Nicholas Boulevard. The impact of the crash caused the truck to go underneath the semi-truck, where it became wedged. The pickup truck was severely damaged due to the accident. Authorities secured the roadway as they worked to remove all of the debris that was scattered across the road.

The driver of the pickup truck, identified as an adult male, was fatally injured. He was pronounced dead from his injuries.

The crash is being investigated.
