Ellsworth, IL – Fatal Truck Wreck near 2800 East Rd & 1200 North Rd

Ellsworth, IL (October 30, 2023) – A fatal truck accident reported in the Ellsworth area claimed the life of a juvenile victim.

The accident occurred at around 3:45 p.m. on October 28.

Reports from the McLean County Sheriff’s Office show that a collision between a passenger car and a semi-truck occurred on 2800 East Road near 1200 North Road during the afternoon hours.

The car was occupied by one adult and two juveniles at the time of the collision.

One person inside the car, a 16-year-old female from Arrowsmith, Illinois, sustained fatal injuries. She was pronounced dead on site.

The driver and the second passenger were both transported to area hospitals for emergency care.

The McLean County Coroner’s Office and the McLean County Accident Reconstruction Team are conducting trash investigations at this time.
