Farmington, ME (August 2, 2023) – A fatal truck accident took place in the Farmington area on Tuesday, August 1.
At around 3:30 a.m., the Farmington Police Department was dispatched to the scene of a crash on Route 2.
According to official reports, a 26-year-old man was driving north on the roadway when his vehicle collided with a tanker truck. The incident caused delays in the area near 156 Farmington Falls Road.
The man was trapped in his vehicle and had to be removed by responding firefighters. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene due to the extent of injuries that he suffered.
The driver of the tanker truck was transported to a local hospital for evaluation.
