Farmland, IN (May 26, 2023) – A motor vehicle accident involving a tanker truck took place on Thursday morning that claimed one person’s life.
The accident was reported at around 6:30 a.m. on May 25.
Reports from authorities indicate that a collision involving a fire department's tanker truck took place on the northbound side of Randolph County Road 1000 W. As a result of the crash, the vehicle rolled over near County Road 400 N.
The vehicle landed on top of two people, causing severe injuries.
One of the victims was pronounced deceased as a result of their injuries.
The second victim, a 19-year-old male, suffered serious injuries. He was flown from the scene of the accident by medical helicopter to a hospital in Fort Wayne.
At this time, the incident is being investigated.
