Findlay, OH – Nine Hurt in Bus Crash on I-75S near US-224

Findlay, OH (October 16, 2023) – A school bus crash reported on Friday evening in the Findlay area sent several victims to area hospitals with injuries. The accident occurred at around 11:00 p.m. on October 13.

According to reports from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a Findlay City School District bus was carrying approximately 31 students while traveling on Interstate 75 southbound during the evening hours. As the vehicle attempted to exit the roadway and enter US Highway 224, it collided with a Ford pickup truck, which was carrying six people.

The impact of the collision sent both the bus and the pickup truck down an embankment on the side of the road. The vehicles came to rest on Interstate 75.

Three students on the bus and all six of the people in the pickup truck were injured. The victims were transported to local hospitals for emergency care.

At this time, the crash is being investigated.
