Fort Dodge, IA (August 31, 2023) – A motorcyclist lost his life due to a truck accident that took place in Fort Dodge on Tuesday afternoon, August 29.
Reports from the Webster County Sheriff’s Office show that a 74-year-old man from Webster City, Iowa, was traveling east on Johnson Avenue while riding a 2018 Indian motorcycle. For reasons unknown, his vehicle collided with a 2010 International straight truck near Highway 20.
Reports show that the driver of the truck failed to yield the right-of-way to the motorcycle while traveling near the intersection.
The motorcyclist was severely hurt in the crash. Emergency crews pronounced the victim deceased from his injuries.
At this time, the incident is being investigated.
