Fort Lauderdale, FL (September 30, 2023) – A woman has lost her life as a result of a truck accident that occurred on Friday morning in Fort Lauderdale.
The accident was reported on Northeast 15th Avenue on September 29.
According to reports provided by the Fort Lauderdale police, a woman was utilizing a motorized scooter or a wheelchair while traveling through the Publix parking lot near 1415 E. Sunrise Boulevard.
For unknown reasons, she was struck by a semi-truck for the grocery store chain near North 15th Avenue.
The woman was dragged from several feet through the parking lot. She suffered significant injuries as a result of the accident and was subsequently pronounced deceased.
At this time, the police department is investigating.
