Fountain Inn, SC (June 12, 2023) – On June 10, the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene of a major truck accident that took place at around 4:00 p.m.
Reports provided by the Sheriff’s office indicate that a 2010 Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling on South Frontage Road in the area near Gnatt Trail. For unknown reasons, a 2006 Freightliner box truck tried to turn into a private driveway in front of the motorcycle, causing the two vehicles to collide.
The motorcyclist, a 62-year-old man from Gray Court, South Carolina, was severely hurt. The victim was pronounced deceased after being transported to a local hospital. A passenger on the motorcycle also suffered injuries and was rushed to an area hospital.
At this time, the incident is being investigated.
