Franklin County, PA – Fatal Truck Crash on I-81 near Exit 5

Franklin County, PA (May 18, 2023) – A truck accident took place on Wednesday in Franklin County that claimed one person’s life.

On May 17, the Pennsylvania State Police troopers and firefighters were called to the scene of a crash on Interstate 81.

Reports show that a collision took place on the northbound side of the interstate near Exit 5. The incident resulted in the closure of all of the northbound lanes between Greencastle and Waynesboro.

At least one person was fatally injured as a result of the accident. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

At this time, the incident is being investigated.
