Fresno, CA (May 30, 2023) – Three people lost their lives as a result of a commercial vehicle accident that took place in the Fresno area on Thursday morning, May 25.
At around 5:00 a.m., the California Highway Patrol troopers responded to the scene of a big rig crash on Highway 33.
Reports from authorities show that a big rig and a Toyota sedan collided on Highway 33 at the intersection of Manning Avenue.
The driver of the Toyota, a 53-year-old man, and his passenger, a 21-year-old man, both suffered fatal injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene. A third victim, identified as a 77-year-old man, was transported to an area hospital for emergency treatment. He was pronounced dead after arriving.
The driver of the big rig, a 23-year-old man, was not injured in the accident.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
