Glencoe, IL (August 26, 2023) – An accident involving an Amazon truck sent a bicyclist to a local hospital with injuries.
According to reports from law enforcement, a 64-year-old man from Highland Park was riding a bicycle northbound on Sheridan Road. As his vehicle passed the intersection of South Avenue at around 4:15 p.m., it collided with an Amazon Dodge Ram ProMaster vehicle in the bicycle lane.
Officers with the Glencoe Public Safety Department responded to the scene and secured the roadway. The bicyclist was transported to Evanston Hospital for the treatment of critical injuries.
At this time, the incident is being investigated by the North Regional Major Crimes Task Force.
