Grattan Township, MI – Woman Injured in Truck Wreck on M-44 near Wabasis Rd

Grattan Township, MI (July 21, 2023) – A woman was left with serious injuries following a major truck accident in Kent County on Wednesday. At around 10:00 a.m. on July 19, calls for help were received by authorities in Kent County.

According to reports from the Michigan State Police, a 61-year-old woman was traveling on Michigan Route 44 during the morning hours. As her vehicle traveled along the roadway, she became involved in a collision with a Kent County Road Commission Truck near Wabasis Road. The Kent County sheriff’s deputies and state police responded to the scene to assist.

The incident left the sedan with severe damage. The driver was injured and rushed to a local hospital by ambulance for emergency care. No other injuries were reported.
