Losing a loved one in a fatal truck accident can be incredibly difficult to deal with. Unfortunately, thousands of people across the United States lose their lives as a result of these accidents each year.
The majority of truck accidents take place as a result of some form of negligence. When it comes to truck accidents, speeding, and drowsy driving tend to be two of the leading factors. Drivers are often in a rush to make it to their destination on time. The fact that they have such tight schedules means they need to make it to their destinations on time in order to make it to future locations on schedule. As a result, drivers are more likely to exceed the posted speed limit.
Due to the same circumstances above, drivers are often forced to spend extensive time on the road. Even though there are strict laws and regulations in place that determine how long a driver can stay on the road and how many breaks they are required to have, we continue to see drivers break the rules and spend excessive time on the roadway. This often leads to them falling asleep or becoming drowsy while behind the wheel. In some cases, it can result in drivers utilizing medications to stay awake.
