Houston County, AL (June 22, 2023) – A head-on collision reported in Houston County claimed one man’s life.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency was notified of the crash at around 1:50 p.m. on June 20.
According to ALEA, a 2011 Cadillac SRX collided head-on with a 1997 Western Star tractor-trailer on Highway 109 in the area near McCallister Road. The incident prompted authorities to close the roadway just ten miles outside of Dothan.
A 65-year-old man from Graceville, Florida, suffered significant injuries due to the crash. He was pronounced deceased after being transported to a local hospital.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
