Houston, TX – One Killed in Box Truck Crash on Grand Parkway near Highway 249

Houston, TX (May 29, 2023) – One person suffered fatal injuries as a result of a truck accident that took place on the north side of Harris County on Friday, May 26.

According to officials, a box truck and a second vehicle collided on Grand Parkway during the evening hours. The incident prompted authorities to shut down the eastbound lanes of the highway near Highway 249.

One person was fatally injured in the accident and pronounced deceased at the scene. At this time, the number of injured victims is not known.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the accident.
