Houston, TX (June 9, 2023) – A major truck accident took place in the Houston area on Wednesday that resulted in injuries.
At around 4:15 a.m. on June 7, emergency officials were notified that they were needed at the scene of a crash on Highway 288.
Reports from authorities show that a pedestrian was struck by a semi-truck on the highway in the area near Alameda Genoa Road. The Texas Department of Public Safety and firefighters rushed to the scene and shut down the southbound side of the roadway. One person involved in the accident was fatally injured. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
At this time, the incident is being investigated.
