Hubbard Twp., OH (October 21, 2023) – A 91-year-old man has died as a result of a fatal truck crash that took place in Hubbard Township.
During the morning hours on October 20, the Ohio State Highway Patrol was called to the scene of an accident on Interstate 80.
According to OSHP reports, at around 1:30 a.m., a pickup truck and a semi-truck collided on the interstate in the area near the Pennsylvania State line. The semi-truck jackknifed as a result of the accident. The incident blocked multiple eastbound lanes of travel, causing some disruptions.
The driver of the pickup truck was pronounced dead on site.
The driver of the semi-truck, a 72-year-old man from Greenville, Pennsylvania, was injured. He was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown, Ohio, for medical care.
The crash is being investigated.
