Jarrettsville, MD – Truck Wreck on Route 165 near Huntfield Way & Furnace Rd Takes One Life

Jarrettsville, MD (July 29, 2023) – A truck accident reported on Thursday in Harford County claimed the life of a 78-year-old man.

At around 12:45 p.m. on July 27, emergency crews were sent to the site of a crash on Route 165.

Reports from the police show that a 54-year-old man was maneuvering a construction vehicle around an active work zone on Route 165. For unknown reasons, the vehicle collided with a northbound BMW 328i. The incident prompted authorities to shut down the roadway near Huntfield Way and Furnace Road.

The driver of the BMW, identified as a 78-year-old man from the Fallston area, was fatally injured. He was pronounced deceased from his injuries while at the scene.

An 81-year-old woman was transported to a local hospital for evaluation of injuries.

At this time, the incident is being investigated by area law enforcement.
