Truck Accidents in New Hampshire

Keene, NH – Utility Bucket Truck Crash on Router 12 Leaves One InjuredBeing involved in a truck accident can have a negative impact on your life. Regrettably, tens of thousands of people nationwide are left injured as a result of these accidents each year. In some cases, manufacturer defects lead to incidents taking place.

Manufacturers have a responsibility to ensure the safety of their products, and when they fail to meet this obligation, it often leads to dangerous and potentially fatal consequences.

Defective products arise from insufficient testing, lack of design standards, or negligent production practices. Semi-trucks comprise numerous components, and some of the common defects observed in truck accidents are as follows:

  • Steering or suspension: When a truck experiences a loss of steering or suspension, the driver may be unable to avoid potential hazards on the road, increasing the risk of accidents.
  • Tires: A tire blowout, especially at high speeds on highways, can have disastrous consequences. Drivers may lose control of their vehicles, potentially causing collisions on busy roads.
  • Brakes: Properly functioning brakes are crucial for a multi-ton vehicle. Brake failure caused by a manufacturer defect can result in the loss of vehicle control and an inability to stop, leading to collisions.
  • Electrical systems: A failure in the electrical system can give rise to various issues with a truck, such as disabling brakes or steering.

In the event of component failure, an investigation is needed in order to determine whether the failure resulted from a manufacturer defect or insufficient maintenance. This determination can impact the question of liability for the accident.
