Kent, WA (August 31, 2023) – On Wednesday morning, the police and firefighters in Kent were called to the scene of an accident involving a box truck that claimed one person’s life.
Around 5:40 a.m. on August 30, authorities were notified that their assistance was needed at the scene of a crash on Southeast Kent-Kangley Road.
Reports show that a 27-year-old man from Kent was riding a bicycle on the roadway near 132nd Avenue Southeast when they became involved in a collision with a box truck.
The driver of the box truck, identified as a 41-year-old man from Covington, was not injured in the crash.
The bicyclist was fatally injured and pronounced deceased.
The incident is being investigated by the police at this time.
