Kidder, MO (November 24, 2023) – A truck accident was reported just outside of Kidder on Wednesday that ended in injuries. The crash occurred at around 1:45 p.m. on November 22.
According to reports provided by law enforcement, a 76-year-old woman was driving south on Highway 36 in a 2005 Chrysler Town & Country. For unknown reasons, the vehicle collided with a Kenworth, which was heading westbound while being driven by a 26-year-old man from Kansas City.
The impact of the crash caused both vehicles to go off the north side of the roadway. The Kenworth collided with a speed limit sign before re-entering the roadway and coming to rest facing west. The Chrysler came to rest on the northbound side of the roadway facing a southern direction.
The Chrysler driver and her 56-year-old female passenger both sustained injuries. The driver was transported to Cameron Regional Medical Center by ambulance for medical care. The passenger was transported to Mosaic Life Care in St Joseph. Investigations into the crash are currently ongoing.
