In South Carolina, we see countless innocent victims lose their lives as a result of automobile accidents. There are many instances where these accidents are completely preventable. Acts of negligence continue to contribute to the high rate of collisions that we see across our state. Unfortunately, drivers who speed, fail to yield, and run red lights are more likely to cause severe accidents that take the lives of innocent people.
After the loss of a loved one, families often face significant consequences. Many families struggle mentally and emotionally to move forward. Families often face tens of thousands of dollars in expenses related to medical costs, funeral arrangements, and more. Unfortunately, trying to overcome the financial burdens can be incredibly difficult. Thankfully, families are provided the legal right to pursue compensation from the person who is responsible. They can file a wrongful death claim against the driver, the trucking company, or another liable party.
In some cases, families may even be able to file claims against trucking companies and manufacturers. Working with a skilled and dedicated legal team will help to ensure your family has the best chance of holding the negligent party accountable and maximizing the compensation you are able to recover. An in-depth investigation is needed to determine who is liable for the accident so that you are able to file a claim for wrongful death against them. Your attorney will be able to conduct the investigation on your behalf and take the appropriate actions moving forward.
