Louisville, KY – Paramedic Injured in 18-Wheeler Crash on I-65 near Brook St

Louisville, KY (June 21, 2023) – A Bullitt County paramedic was left with significant injuries following a major truck crash that occurred in the Downtown Louisville area.

The accident was reported just after 3:30 a.m. on June 19. Emergency crews were dispatched to the site of a crash on Interstate 65.

Reports from authorities show that a semi-truck and an ambulance collided on the interstate, blocking multiple northbound lanes of travel near Brook Street.

Emergency crews rushed to the scene and closed off the roadway as they worked to clear the scene.

Medics were called to care for the injured parties. One of the victims, identified as a paramedic with Bullitt County, was severely injured. The victim was rushed to a local hospital and admitted in critical condition.
