Marion Co., FL – Bus Crash with Ambulance on SW 90th St at SW 80th Ave

Marion Co., FL (December 5, 2023) – A major bus accident reported in Marion County on Tuesday morning left several victims injured. The crash occurred just before 9:00 a.m.

Reports provided by the Marion County Fire Rescue indicate that an ambulance, a pickup truck, and a bus collided near the intersection of Southwest 90^th Street and Southwest 80^th Avenue. 911 dispatchers sent both firefighters and police to the scene of the accident to provide assistance. Authorities closed off multiple lanes of the roadway as they worked to remove the involved vehicles.

Two firefighters and 11 other victims involved in the accident were injured. Three of the victims were students on the bus at the time of the crash. A total of at least eight victims were transported to area hospitals for emergency care. At this time, investigations surrounding the crash are underway.
