Marion Co., FL – One Hurt in Truck Crash at Hwy 40 & SE 174th Court

Marion Co., FL (November 16, 2023) – A motor vehicle accident reported in Marion County on Tuesday sent one person to a local medical facility with injuries. The accident occurred just after 11:00 a.m. on November 14.

According to reports provided by authorities, a minivan and an 18-wheeler collided on Highway 40 near the intersection of Southeast 174th Court. The incident caused delays as the Florida Highway Patrol and firefighters assisted at the scene. One person in the minivan had to be extricated by firefighters. The victim was transported to a local medical facility, where they underwent immediate treatment for the injuries they had suffered. The incident is currently being investigated.
