Truck Accidents in New Jersey

Marlboro Twp., NJ – Truck Accident on Route 18 Ends in InjuriesEvery month, thousands of truck accidents are reported across the country. Many of these accidents result in serious injuries for those involved. It is all too common to see people left with spinal cord injuries, head trauma, and other serious injuries as a result of this accident. There are many instances where people are hurt in truck accidents due to the negligence of others. Common factors involved in these accidents include:

  • Improper maintenance and vehicle malfunction: Neglecting regular maintenance and failing to address mechanical issues can lead to dangerous situations on the road. Issues such as worn-out brakes, faulty steering mechanisms, or defective tires can result in loss of control and accidents. It is crucial for trucking companies and drivers to place a strong emphasis on performing routine inspections, repairs, and maintenance to ensure the safe operation of their vehicles.
  • Truck driver error: Human error remains one of the leading causes of truck accidents. This includes various factors such as distracted driving, reckless maneuvers, improper lane changes, failure to yield the right of way, and following too closely. Truck drivers must adhere to traffic laws, exercise caution, and maintain situational awareness to minimize the risk of accidents.
  • Intoxication: Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is an extremely hazardous behavior that significantly impairs a driver’s judgment, coordination, and reaction time. When truck drivers operate their vehicles while intoxicated, they pose a grave risk to themselves and others on the road.
