Mayfield, KY (July 4, 2023) – The driver of a USPS vehicle was left injured as a result of a truck accident reported on Monday in Mayfield.
A statement provided by the Mayfield Police Department indicates that a USPS truck was traveling left onto Castleman Bypass from Service Drive at the River Valley Ag Credit. As the vehicle proceeded forward, it collided with a McCartney food delivery truck. The impact of the collision forced the USPS truck off the roadway, where it went down an embankment and flipped over.
The driver of the USPS truck was severely hurt in the crash. The victim was airlifted and flown to a hospital in Nashville for emergency care.
The incident is currently being investigated by officers with the Mayfield Police Department.
