Mesa, AZ – Multi-Vehicle Truck Wreck Reported on US-60 near Alma School Rd

Mesa, AZ (October 4, 2023) – On Tuesday morning, the Arizona Department of Public Safety troopers were requested at the scene of an automobile accident that took place and ended in injuries.

At around 11:00 a.m. on October 3, authorities were notified that a crash occurred on US Highway 60.

Preliminary investigations indicate that a pickup truck and a tractor-trailer collided with a semi-truck on US Highway 60 in the area near Alma School Road. The impact of the collision caused the semi-truck to partially roll over and come to rest on its side.

The semi-truck was carrying construction equipment at the time of the accident, which was damaged. The driver was able to exit the semi. However, they were harmed in the crash. The driver and a second person involved in the accident were both treated for injuries.

At this time, the incident is being investigated by the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

We hope the two injured parties recover quickly.

Truck Accidents in Arizona

Truck accidents take place far too often. Unfortunately, these accidents are likely to result in severe injuries for those involved. There are several types of injuries that we see commonly reported in the aftermath of truck accidents across our state.

One common type of injury is broken bones. Broken bones from truck accidents can be incredibly devastating. Collisions involving trucks often exert a significant force against the victim’s body. This can increase the chances of severe compound fractures in a variety of places, all of which can be excruciating and require extensive medical care.

Traumatic brain injuries (TBIs) are also frequently seen after truck accidents. When a victim's head strikes an object during impact or experiences extreme jolting movements within the vehicle, it can result in brain damage with long-lasting effects on cognitive function.

Internal organ damage is another serious consequence of truck accidents. Blunt force trauma caused by colliding with hard surfaces or being crushed inside the vehicle can rupture organs like the lungs, liver, and spleen or cause internal bleeding, which requires emergency surgery.

If you have been hurt as a result of a truck accident, you may be able to take legal action against the responsible party. Working with a tractor-trailer accident lawyer can help to determine who is responsible for the pain and suffering that your crash has caused.
