Truck accidents are among the most devastating collisions occurring in our state. Year after year, these crashes claim the lives of thousands of individuals and cause significant injuries for tens of thousands more. The injuries commonly seen in truck accidents throughout our state include:
Unfortunately, accidents involving commercial vehicles are more likely to result in severe and life-threatening injuries compared to other types of vehicle collisions, particularly for those traveling in smaller passenger vehicles. As a result, thousands of people end up losing their lives annually as a result of these accidents.
Negligence plays a significant role in many truck accidents. Drowsy driving stands as one of the leading factors contributing to collisions in our state. Drivers often strive to meet tight deadlines, leading them to spend extended hours on the road even when fatigued. This fatigue impairs their ability to stay alert while driving.
Speeding is another common factor in truck accidents. The rush to reach their destination on time may prompt drivers to engage in reckless behaviors. Trucks require a longer distance to come to a complete stop when traveling at high speeds. This poses a substantial danger when approaching congested areas or encountering adverse weather conditions.
