Moorpark, CA – Sixteen Injured in Truck vs Train Crash on Moorpark Ave

Moorpark, CA (June 30, 2023) – A major train accident took place on Wednesday that left multiple people with injuries.

The incident was reported to emergency officials in Ventura County on June 28.

According to official reports, an Amtrak Coast Starlight train struck a Ventura County Public Works Agency water truck in the 700 block of Moorpark Avenue during the early evening hours. The incident prompted officials to shut down the area as they worked to clear the scene.
