Morgantown, WV (May 16, 2023) – The Morgantown Police Department and firefighters responded to the scene of a major truck accident that took place on Saturday morning, May 13.
Reports provided by the police show that a man was driving through the area of Powell Avenue and West Virginia on Route 7 when his vehicle became involved in a crash with the tractor-trailer.
The incident prompted the police to shut down the roadway.
The man and his passenger both suffered fatal injuries in the crash. The two victims were pronounced dead at the scene by emergency medical services.
A third victim was transported to Ruby Memorial Hospital, where he underwent emergency medical care.
At this time, the incident is being investigated.
